Strategic Master Plan
In 2017, Wayne County Parks (WCP) began a strategic master planning process to develop a long term vision for the park system as well as provide a revised 5-Year Recreation Plan. The planning process has included to date, two public surveys, five public workshops and numerous meetings with the Wayne County Parks staff and leadership. The 5-Year Recreation Plan provides an overview of the current state of the park system, its operations, future goals and anticipated capital improvements. An adopted 5-Year Recreation Plan is a requirement for a park system to be eligible for Michigan Department of Natural Resources grants to support park improvement projects.
