Wayne County Parks has began issuing picnic permits for the 2022 season (May - September) and customers can make on-line reservations by clicking HERE or walk up reservations (no phone) at the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center. Open office hours for picnic permits are 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the walk-up window at the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center in Westland. The address for the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center is 33175 Ann Arbor Trail in Westland.
You can now sign up for interpretive classes at Nankin Mills Interpretive Center and Crosswinds Marsh online! Register for classes such as Adventure Kids, Nature's Night Life, Guided Sunset Canoeing and Thursdays at the Mill! Click HERE for online registration or call (734) 261-1990 for more information.
Wayne County Parks Dog Park
Registration for the new season (now - April 2023) is now open at the Nankin Mills Intpretive Center in Westland. Registration hours are Monday - Friday from 1:00 PM - 4:0 0 PM and the address for the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center is 33175 Ann Arbor Trail in Westland. Click HERE for the dog park rules and membership application form. Please note, you will need to bring copies of your city dog license and rabies/distemper vaccination records to register your dog.
Connecting the Rouge Feedback Needed!
Connecting the Rouge is a regional planning effort led by Wayne County Parks that will connect communities along the Rouge River with access to existing and planned trails on Hines Drive, the Lower Rouge Greenway and the Rouge River Gateway.
