Picnic Permits
The opening date for 2021 picnic reservations is MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2021 at 7:00 AM at the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center in Westland. All reservations will be in person on March 1. Click HERE for a complete information packet including special procedures on March 1, 2021.

Nankin Mills Interpretive Center

Due to COVID-19, the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center remains closed to visitors. There is a walk-up window for residents to register for the dog park or purchase a metal detector permit. The front desk will be open from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Wayne County Parks Dog Park
The Wayne County Parks Dog Park is now open and we are accepting applications for new members. Click HERE for the dog park rules and membership application form.

Connecting the Rouge Website
Connecting the Rouge is a regional planning effort led by Wayne County Parks that will connect communities along the Rouge River with access to existing and planned trails on Hines Drive, the Lower Rouge Greenway and the Rouge River Gateway.
