Healthy Families America Wayne Program

Healthy Families Americaâ„¢ Wayne (HFA Wayne) program is a free/no cost, ongoing home visiting program that addresses the pressing need for enhanced early health and education services for at-risk families.


Enrollment and participation is voluntary.

HFA Wayne program is designed to increase access to needed maternal and child health services and supports to the low-income women ages 13 and up and infants living in Wayne County (including Detroit).

The program goal is to reduce racial and economic disparities in infant mortality and child abuse for residents of Wayne County (including Detroit). The objective of the program is to provide home visits for identified families during the pregnancy of the mother until the newly born infant has reached his/her third birthday.


Moms are offered educational programs and classes; assistance with connecting to community resources; consultation and support, and family planning for enrolled clients.
