Wayne County Commissioner Sam Baydoun is vice-chair pro tem of the Wayne County Commission and was first elected in 2018 to represent District 13 (Dearborn and Allen Park).
He is a member of the committees on Public Services, Economic Development and as vice-chair of the Committee on Ways and Means . He is also a member of the Special committees on Rules and the Criminal Justice Complex. Commissioner Baydoun recently celebrated his 33st year in the real estate business, 27 of which are punctuated with the highest Century 21 International awards, including induction into the Centurion Hall of Fame. Baydoun has consistently been honored by his company for his solo top sales production - without a team - and one clerical assistant.
Baydoun also led the Dearborn Area Board of Realtors as its president and later as the chairman of government affairs. Baydoun was appointed by Congresswoman Debbie Dingell to lead the Realtor Political Action Committee.
Baydoun, an avid soccer player, immigrated to America from Lebanon at the age of 15, with six of his eight siblings, in 1978. A determined student, Baydoun went on to complete two years at Henry Ford Community College, earning his associates of liberal arts degree, and then his bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Detroit College of Business.Baydoun is an active volunteer in civic organizations in Dearborn and Allen Park. He and his wife Ibtihal and their four children: Moe, Ally, Angela and Lilly reside in Dearborn.
