Technical Resources

Wayne County Indigent Defense Services Department and Department of Information Technology do not provide technical assistance, software, or other similar aid to members of the public, including our service providers. However, IDSD recognizes that interacting with us sometimes requires a little bit of technical know-how or access to software in order to follow our processes and procedures.

To that end, we have found a few resources that may be valuable when navigating our program. Any products are not provided by Wayne County and most, if not all, guides are not written by any member of Wayne County.

All of our compliance forms are fillable PDFs. Many internet browsers such as Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox can complete fillable forms without additional software. Apple products such as Mac computers, iPads and iPhones are not able to complete fillable forms in Safari and will require a PDF product which can provide form fill functions.

If you need a free product to complete our forms digitally, you can find free consumer versions of relevant products on this page. These are not enterprise-grade licenses nor are they underwritten by Wayne County or the Indigent Defense Services Department, and are in no way affiliated with Wayne County.

You assume all responsibility for use of these products including but not limited to complying with any applicable license terms and user agreements. Wayne County is unable to provide technical support.

These products may include optional offers that are installed alongside by default; these are not required, recommended, or endorsed by Wayne County or Indigent Defense IT and you are welcome to accept or refuse any optional add-ons at your discretion.
