Volunteer

Do you have some time to devote to helping out a senior? How would you like to say "Hello" to homebound seniors and bring a smile to their faces along with a hot home delivered meal? For some, this is the only contact they have with other people, and, for the volunteer, a feeling of great accomplishment that you are contributing to a worthwhile cause.

Volunteers are needed to help package and serve seniors at one of the congregate sites located in the 34 communities of western Wayne County or in the Downriver.

Volunteers also help deliver to the homebound seniors in these areas. Volunteers deliver meals one day a week, and are reimbursed each month for their route mileage.

The liquid nutrition program needs volunteers to distribute liquid supplements at one of the 13 distribution sites once a month.

For further information please call 734-326-5202, or 800-851-1454, if you would like to volunteer for this program.
