Finance & Administration

If the Office of the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney was a law firm, it would be one of the largest in Michigan. The Finance and Administration section is tasked with supporting a staff of over 300 including 189 attorneys working in several buildings.

The Unit handles all aspects of office finance and administrative details. This includes preparation and presentation of the Annual Budget to the Wayne County Commission.

The unit is responsible for coordinating purchasing, benefits and compensation for the office as well as being responsible for the financial management of all grants. Personnel matters including grievances and liaison with the unions are handled by this unit.


The Finance Unit is responsible for grants management, accounting, budgeting, payroll administration, and procurement.

The Administration Unit is responsible for personnel management, file management, transcript management, and record retention and destruction.
