The CCS Division aims to:

• Protect community health by prompt identification, prevention, and control of infectious diseases and outbreaks that pose a threat to public health

• Eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases through bolstering local vaccine delivery systems

• Reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections through prevention, screening and treatment

• Deliver quality and affordable medical, behavioral and dental services through Wayne County Healthy Communities (WCHC) health centers

• Develop behavioral health initiatives that tackle our most pressing challenges in mental health and substance use health inequities.
