WAYNE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT BRINGS COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC TO HARPER WOODS HIGH SCHOOL
Pfizer vaccines available to all residents with special focus on school-aged children 12 and older

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. - The Wayne County Health Department will administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday June 16 between 8:30 am - 12:00 PM at Harper Woods High School, 2025 Beaconsfield. The vaccines are available to all residents at no cost, with a special priority on the school population age 12 and older. No appointments are necessary for this clinic, walk-in vaccines are available.

"Vaccines are the safe and effective way to end this pandemic," said Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans. "This clinic is a great opportunity for Harper Woods residents, especially young people, to do something important to protect their own health and their community."

Residents who receive the first vaccine dose at the Harper Woods High School clinic on June 16 will receive their second dose Wednesday, July 7 at the same location. Harper Woods is also home to a full-time Wayne County vaccine clinic located at the Wayne County Community College Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center, 19305 Vernier Road.

That clinic is open Monday-Tuesday; Thursday-Saturday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Wednesday 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Residents can call 1-866-610-3885 to schedule an appointment or text "wayne vax" to 48355. To date, 61.6% of Wayne County residents (excluding Detroit) have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
