Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements on Farmington Road (Orangelawn Street to Plymouth Road) in the City of Livonia.

WHAT'S BEING DONE?

Upgrades will be made to 0.20 miles of concrete and integral pavement, storm sewer, curb ramps, signing and pavement markings on Farmington Road from north of Orangelawn Street to Plymouth Road in the city of Livonia, Wayne County.

WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 19, 2022, and is estimated to be completed by early Winter 2022, barring any unforeseen delays or inclement weather.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

During construction Farmington Road will have the following detour available:

Stage 1: The road will be open for southbound traffic only. Northbound traffic will be detoured from Farmington Road, Joy Rd, Merriman Rd, Plymouth Rd back to Farmington Road.

Stage 2: The road will be open for Northbound traffic only. Southbound traffic will be detoured from Farmington Rd, Plymouth Rd, Merriman Rd, Joy Rd and back to Farmington Road.

One direction of lane of traffic will be always open. Reduced speeds and load restrictions may be posted. Flaggers will be present as needed. During the project, please use caution when traveling through work zones. Access will be maintained to all residents and businesses for the duration of the project.
