WHAT'S BEING DONE?

The Grosse Ile Swing Bridge will be inspected during the week of September 19, 2022.

WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?

The inspection is scheduled to begin on September 19, 2022 and is estimated to be completed by end of September 2022, barring any unforeseen delays or inclement weather.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

During the inspection the bridge will remain open, although single lane closures should be expected. Traffic will be stopped for short periods for test openings.

Please note:

-One direction of lane traffic will be always open.

-Reduced speeds and load restrictions may be posted.

-Flaggers will be present as needed.

-During the project, please use caution when traveling through work zones.

Access will be maintained to all residents and businesses for the duration of the project.
