Due to limited staffing and an overwhelming number of phone calls, voicemails, emails, and letters you may now schedule your own appointment in order to receive services from our office using our eScheduler (see below).

DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN 33 DAYS NOR LESS THAN THREE (3) WORKING DAYS FROM YOUR WEDDING DATE.

Step 3: Click here to Schedule Appointment

  • At least one individual from the couple must appear in person at the appointment time.

  • The marriage license must be used in the State of Michigan.

  • Blood tests are not required for a marriage license.

  • Only Wayne County residents can apply. (If both parties live out of state, you may apply in Wayne County and the wedding MUST be performed in Wayne County.)

  • Every person must present a certified copy of their birth certificate. (If you do not have a certified birth certificate, please see other acceptable documents.)
