28-Year-Old Man Killed on Middlebelt Road in Inkster

On December 3, 2020, Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Marvin Maurice Mallory, 28 (DOB:05/28/1992) of Inkster, in connection with the fatal shooting of Tyron Larkins, 28, also of Inkster. On November 13, 2020, at 7:06 p.m. Mr. Larkins was inside Moe's Chicken located in the 1540 block of Middlebelt Road speaking to a woman in a friendly conversation when the defendant entered the restaurant and fatally shot Mr. Larkins in the face with a handgun at close range. Investigation by the Michigan State Police, the Inkster Police and other officers with the Homicide Task Force resulted in the identifying and charging of the defendant.

Mallory has been charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and two counts of Felony Firearm. On December 5, 2020, the Defendant was arraigned in 22nd District Court in Inkster and remanded to the Wayne County Jail. His Probable Cause Conference is on December 16, 2020 and his Preliminary Examination is before Judge Sabrina Johnson.
