Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Alec Christian Stubs, 23, (DOB: 02/18/1998), of Ann Arbor, in connection with using a computer to commit a crime by accosting minor teen girls for immoral purposes.

Investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office led to the identification and arrest of the defendant on July 26, 2021 in the City of Plymouth. It is alleged that the defendant used social media to solicit teen girls to meet him for the purpose of having inappropriate sexual contact.

Alec Christian Stubs has been charged with one count of Using Computers and Internet to Communicate with Another to Commit a Crime, and one count of Accosting a Minor for Immoral Purposes. * More complete facts and evidence in the case will be presented at the Preliminary Examination. The defendant was arraigned today and received a $10,000 personal bond with a GPS tether. He was also ordered to have no contact with complaining witnesses and is not allowed to have any firearms, alcohol, or marijuana. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for August 8, 2021 and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 13, 2021 in 35th District Court.
