Case Update - Detroit Man Charged in Non-Fatal Crash
On March 11, 2021, at 3:30 a.m., Detroit police were dispatched to a crash that took place at the intersection of Fort Street and Waterman Road. It is alleged that the defendant was driving at a high speed when he struck a semi-trailer. Both the defendant and his 21-year-old female passenger in were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Jean Paul Guerrero has been charged with the felony, Reckless Driving Causing Serious Injury. He has also been charged with the misdemeanor, Driving While License is Suspended. *
The defendant was arraigned today in 36th District Court and given a $2,000 bond and GPS Tether. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 29, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. and his Preliminary Examination is scheduled for April 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in 36th District Court before Judge Roberta Archer.
