Chantry Rice - Defendant Rice, of Dearborn was charged in the Dearborn homicide of 93-year-old Maxine Callaghan. On July 21, 2020, Defendant Rice forced entry into the victim's home and struck her in the head, fatally injuring her, before robbing her and fleeing the scene. On August 7, 2020, he was charged with one count of Felony Murder. Today, he entered a guilty plea to Second-Degree Murder with a sentence agreement of 20 to 38 years in prison before Judge Wanda Evans. His sentencing is scheduled for June 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
