On June 30, 2022, Johnson turned himself in at the Ninth Precinct of the Detroit Police Department.

He has been charged with one count each of Home Invasion First Degree and Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration. * He was arraigned in 36th District Court on Saturday, July 2,2022, and received a $5000 cash/surety bond. "The defendant's alleged actions in this case once again show a continuing disregard for our elders and our most vulnerable," said Prosecutor Kym Worthy. "It would be wonderful to get through a day where no child, senior or anyone else was used and abused."

*A criminal charge is merely an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
