Dearborn Parents Charged with Child Abuse of Infant Daughter
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Murtadha Mohsein Almeamaar, 31, and Amy Lynn Taulbee, 30, both of Dearborn, in connection with the child abuse of their one-year-old daughter.
On September 29, 2022, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Dearborn police officers were dispatched to a pediatric office in the 2840 block of Monroe Street for a report of an infant who was suspected of being the victim of physical abuse. Upon their arrival, officers met a nurse in the office and child was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
It is alleged that the defendants physically abused the infant, which caused bruising to her head, neck, and stomach.
Murtadha Mohsein Almeamaar and Amy Lynn Taulbee have each been charged with one count of First-Degree Child Abuse. *
They were arraigned this morning in 19th District Court. Defendant Almeamaar received a $200,000 cash/surety bond and Defendant Taulbee received a $100,000 cash/surety bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 14, 2022, at 8:00 a.m., before Judge Gene Hunt. Please request a photograph of the defendants from the Dearborn Police Department.
