Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Andrae Scott, Jr., 28, and his friend, Robin K. Hall, 23, both of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a Michigan State Police trooper.

On September 27, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Michigan State Police (MSP) were investigating at an apartment complex in the 23630 block of Schoolcraft Road in Detroit. During the investigation, it is alleged that Defendant Scott fired multiple shots that hit the trooper. Medics arrived on scene and transported him to a local hospital for treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. It is alleged that Defendant Hall was an accessory after the fact and not truthful to the police. Aspects of the case remain under investigation. The specific facts and evidence will be presented in court at the preliminary examination.

Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendants later the same day.

Andrae Scott, Jr. has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, and two counts of Felony Firearm. * Robin K. Hall has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to a Felony and Lying to a Peace Officer (Felony). *

They were arraigned this afternoon in 36th District Court. Defendant Scott was given a $1,000,000 cash bond. If released, he will be given a GPS tether with house arrest. Defendant Hall was given a $250,000 cash bond. If released, she will be given a GPS tether with full home confinement.

The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 11, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 18, 2022, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Kenneth King. Please request a photograph of the defendants from the Detroit Police Department.
