Detroit Man Charged in Armed Robbery of Dollar Store
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Antoine Clements, 41, of Detroit, in connection with the robbery of a Dollar Tree.
On January 1, 2023, at approximately 6:24 p.m., at a dollar store in the 11520 block of Hayes Street in Detroit, it is alleged that the defendant entered the dollar store as a customer, pulled out a handgun, and threatened to shoot a female employee. It is further alleged that the defendant robbed the store before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on January 21, 2023.
Antoine Clements has been charged with one count of Armed Robbery, two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two count of Felony Firearm. *
He was arraigned on January 23, 2023, in 36th District Court and was given a $100,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for February 3, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for February 10, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Aliyah Sabree.
