Detroit Man Charged in Fatal Shooting at Motor City Casino
On March 21, 2021, at approximately 1:48 a.m., Detroit police officers responded to a report of a shooting on the second level of the Motor City Casino parking structure. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the victim suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on the scene and transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
It is alleged that a verbal argument between the defendant and victim escalated and the defendant fatally shot Mr. McCants. Defendant White then allegedly fled from the scene in his car. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on March 22, 2021.
Nicholas White has been charged with First Degree Murder and Felony Firearm. * He was arraigned this afternoon in 36th District Court. His Probable Cause Conference is on April 6, 2021 and his Preliminary Examination is on April 13, 2021 before Judge Ronald Giles.
