Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Terry Allen Wyrembelski, 21, of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Jaclyn Wyrembelski, 25, also of Detroit.

On December 29, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3990 block of Beaconsfield Street for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers observed the victim in the living room of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

It is alleged that an argument between Defendant Wyrembelski and the victim escalated, and the defendant produced and fired a handgun, fatally wounding her. It is further alleged that the defendant non-fatally shot a male victim that was in the home.

Terry Allen Wyrembelski has been charged with one count of Premeditated First-Degree Murder, one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, and two counts of Felony Firearm. *

He was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 31, 2022, in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for January 6, 2023, and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for January 19, 2023, before Judge Kenneth King. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.

*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
