On November 2, 2021, Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Tereyl Devon Coleman, 29, (DOB: 01/28/1992), of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of his wife, Raven Coleman, 29, of Clinton Township.

On October 30, 2021, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 12250 block of Wayburn Avenue in Detroit for a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim lying in the driveway of the residence with a gunshot wound to the chest. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

It is alleged that a verbal argument between the defendant and the victim escalated and Defendant Coleman fired a handgun, fatally wounding his wife.

Tereyl Devon Coleman has been charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder and one count of Felony Firearm. *

The defendant was arraigned on November 2, 2021, in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for November 17, 2021 and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for November 24, 2021 in 36th District Court before Judge Kenneth King.
