Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Aaron Leviticus McClinton, 19, of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man of Oak Park, MI.

On April 15, 2023, at approximately 11:31 p.m., around Randolph Street and Congress Street, it is alleged that during a physical altercation, Defendant McClinton produced and fired a handgun, non-fatally injuring the victim. Medics arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Aaron Leviticus McClinton has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, one count of Felonious Assault, one count of Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer, and four counts of Felony Firearm. *

He was arraigned on April 19, 2023, in 36th District Court and given a $5,000,000 cash bond. A bond redetermination hearing is scheduled for April 21, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge William McConnico. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for May 1, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for May 8, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Aliyah Sabree.
