Detroit Man Charged in Kidnapping of Five-Year-Old Girl
On June 30, 2021 at approximately 10:25 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to the area of Schaefer Highway and Capitol Street in Detroit for a child endangerment call. Upon arrival, officers were notified that the child was being held captive in a residence in the 12100 block of Schaefer.
It is alleged that Defendant Clemons abducted the child from her home and fled to the residence next door. Aspects of the case remain under investigation and no further details are being released at this time.
Dangelo Cash Clemons has been charged with Kidnapping and Child Enticement. * He was arraigned today in 36th District Court and received a $250,000/10% bond with a GPS tether.
Prosecutor Worthy said, "All allegations like these that confirm why we all do this challenging work. We must protect our children by all lawful means necessary."
