Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Brandon Ryan Walker, 26 (DOB: 11/18/1993) of Detroit, in connection with the parental kidnapping of his four-month-old daughter.

On April 6, 2020 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a location in the 20500 block of James Couzens freeway in response to a call regarding a parental kidnapping. It is alleged that the defendant, his girlfriend and their daughter were in a vehicle on James Couzens. After arguing with his girlfriend, who exited the vehicle, it is alleged the defendant drove off at a high rate of speed with the infant in the back seat and fled the location.
