Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Anthony Demetrius Craddieth, 34, of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of a 30-year-old man, also of Detroit.

On February 21, 2023, at approximately 8:47 a.m., at a gas station near North M-39 Freeway and McNichols, it is alleged that an argument between the defendant and the victim escalated, and Defendant Craddieth stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene. Medics were called to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigation by the Michigan State Police led to the arrest of Defendant Craddieth on March 6, 2023. Anthony Demetrius Craddieth has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, one count of Felonious Assault, and one count of Interfering with Telephone Communications. *

He was arraigned and remanded to jail on March 6, 2023, in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 20, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for March 27, 2023, at 1:45 p.m., before Judge Patricia Jefferson.
