Detroit Man Charged in North Martindale Street Fatal Stabbing
On April 18, 2022, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 9020 block of North Martindale Street in Detroit for a well-being check. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim inside the residence, unresponsive, with a stab wound to the chest. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
It is alleged that on April 15, 2022, Defendant Lockett stabbed the victim, fatally injuring her.
Pete Jason Lockett has been charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder. *
He was arraigned and remanded to jail yesterday afternoon in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for April 27, 2022, and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for May 3, 2022, before Judge Kenneth King.
