Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jayvon Moore, 24, (DOB: 11/14/1997), of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 27-year-old Warren woman. The victim was the estranged girlfriend of Defendant Moore.

On June 15, 2022, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 15040 block of Mark Twain Street in Detroit for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her lower left leg. Medics arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
It is alleged that Defendant Moore produced and fired a handgun multiple times, striking the victim in the leg, before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on June 21, 2022.

Jayvon Moore has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, three counts of Felony Firearm, one count of Felon in Possession, and one count of Felonious Assault. *

He was arraigned this morning in 36th District Court and given a $750,000 cash bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for June 30, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 7, 2022, at 9:45 a.m., before Judge Kenneth King.
