Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Malik Eugene Adams, 19, (DOB: 01/13/2003), of Taylor, in connection with a bomb threat against the Taylor Career Center.

On March 7, 2022, at approximately 10:08 a.m., Taylor Police Officers were dispatched to the Taylor Career Center in the 9600 block of Westlake Street for reports of a student making threats to blow up the building. Upon their arrival, officers were met by a witness.
It is alleged that the defendant was removed from class for a disruption before threatening to blow up the school.

Malik Eugene Adams has been charged with one count of False Report or Threat of Bomb/Harmful Device. *

He was arraigned late yesterday in 23rd District Court before Judge Geno Salomone and given a $1,000 cash bond. The Probable Cause Conference is on March 21, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is on March 28, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Victoria Shackelford. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Taylor Police Department.
