Breaking news: On Monday, April 16, our Founder and President Mariska Hargitay's documentary film, I AM EVIDENCE, will premiere on HBO.

I AM EVIDENCE tells the story of four survivors whose rape kits went untested for years, bringing much-needed attention to the disturbing pattern of how the criminal justice system has historically treated sexual assault survivors. It is time for their voices, and all those affected by this injustice, to finally be heard.

Since the film was first shown at the Tribeca Film Festival last spring, we have been working with partners across the country to share this transformative documentary with as many communities as possible. We have already facilitated screenings of the film in 25 states.

Now, with the HBO premiere fast approaching, we have a significant opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of ending the rape kit backlog and fix the problem for good.
