Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged James Adam Baird, 43, of Plymouth, in connection with the sexual assaults of a then 8-year-old Garden City girl who is now 10 years old, a then 10-year-old Westland girl who is now 13 years old, a then 8-year-old Dearborn girl who is now 11-years old, and a then 11-year-old Wayne girl who is now 15-years old.

January 4, 2018 - Garden City, MI - A Then 8-year-old Female; Now 10-years-old.

At approximately 12:00 p.m. at a school in the 6400 block of Hartel Street in Garden City, it is alleged that the defendant sexually assaulted the then 8-year-old victim multiple times while administering vision tests.

Defendant Baird has been charged with one count of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Person under 13. *

March 1, 2018 - Westland, MI - A Then 10-year-old Female; Now 13-years-old.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., at a school in the 35100 block of Bayview Street in Westland, it is alleged that the defendant blindfolded the then 10-year-old victim, before sexually assaulting her.

Defendant Baird has been charged with one count of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Person under 13. *

May 1, 2019 - Garden City, MI - A Then 8-year-old Female; Now 11-years-old.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., at a school in the 6400 block of Hartel Street in Garden City, it is alleged that the defendant blindfolded the then 8-year-old victim before sexually assaulting her.

Defendant Baird has been charged with one count of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Person under 13. *

February 11, 2020 - Westland, MI - A Then 11-year-old Female; Now 15-years-old.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., at a school in the 38500 block of Palmer Road in Westland, it is alleged that the defendant blindfolded the then 11-year-old victim before sexually assaulting her.

Defendant Baird has been charged with one count of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, and one count of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. *

He was arraigned this morning in 18th District in Westland. On both cases the defendant was given a $100,000 personal bond with a GPS tether and is not allowed to have contact with females under the age of 18-years-old. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for February 9, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for February 16, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in 18th District Court before Judge Sandra Cicirelli.

He was also arraigned today in 21st District Court in Garden City. On both cases the defendant was given a $15,000 personal bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for February 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for February 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., in 21st District Court before Judge Richard Hammer.
