Inkster Man Charged with Threat of Terrorism
On May 16, 2022, at approximately 10:44 a.m., it is alleged that the Defendant called a court clerk at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center and threatened to shoot and kill multiple people. Investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the FBI led to the identification and arrest of the defendant on May 19, 2022.
Courtney Seegars has been charged with one count of False Report of Terrorism, and one count of Malicious Use of a Telecommunications Device. *
He was arraigned this morning in 36th District Court and given a $10,000 personal bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for May 26, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for June 2, 2022, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Roberta Archer. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Office of the Wayne County Sheriff.
