Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jaden Alex Geck, 21, of Ira, MI, in connection with the destruction of a window at Cafe D'Mongo's, located in the 1430 block of Griswold Street in Detroit.

On May 7, 2023, at approximately 3:44 a.m., it is alleged that Defendant Geck used a patio chair, throwing it and destroying the glass window of the business, before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on May 11, 2023.

Jaden Alex Geck has been charged with Malicious Destruction of Property - $1,000 or More but Less Than $20,000, a felony with a maximum penalty of 5 years. *

He was arraigned on May 11, 2023, in 36th District Court and given a $50,000 personal bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for May 24, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for May 30, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., both before Judge Patricia Jefferson.
