Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jason Alexander-David Stacy, 18, of Newport, Michigan, in connection with making terrorist threats against the Rockwood Police Department.

On June 11, 2025, at 6:50 a.m., it is alleged that the defendant called the Rockwood Police Department multiple times and made threats of violence. Defendant Stacy was apprehended by the Monroe County Sherriff's Department and turned over to the Rockwood Police Department later the same day.

Jason Alexander-David Stacy has been charged with False Report or Threat of Terrorism, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, and Malicious Use of Telecommunication Services.*

He was arraigned this morning in 33rd District Court and given a $500,000 cash bond. The Probable
Cause Conference is scheduled for June 24, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is
scheduled for July 1, 2025, at 11:15 a.m., before Judge Jennifer Hesson.
