Joseph Gentz - The defendant was convicted of Second Degree Murder and sentenced to 17 to 28 years in prison in connection with the homicide of Jane Bashara. The Jane Bashara homicide investigation is ongoing and there is no further information that will be released at this time.
A warrant request is being reviewed regarding the fatal shooting deaths of two females and the non-fatal shooting of a seven-year-old child and an adult female that occurred on February 15, 2013, at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 13500 block of Winthrop in Detroit. A press release will be issued when a charging decision has been made.
Semeria Greene - Detroit woman charged in the death of her eight-year-old daughter. The court has moved the competency hearing from March 1, 2013, to Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 9:00 a.m.

Semeria Greene - Detroit woman charged in the death of her eight-year-old daughter. Today Greene was determined to be incompetent to stand trial by the forensic clinic. The prosecution's request for an independent psychiatric evaluation to determine the issue of competency was granted by Judge Deborah Langston Lewis. The competency hearing is scheduled for May 29, 2013.

Quintin King and Anton Blevins - Today, after a seven-day jury trial before Judge Timothy Kenny, the defendants were convicted in the Club Envy fatal shooting of Wayne State football player Courtney "Cortez" Smith that occurred on May 5, 2011, at 234 Larned in Detroit. They will both be sentenced on March 12, 2013. King was convicted of First Degree Murder, six counts of Assault with Intent to Murder and Felony Firearm. Blevins was convicted of Second Degree Murder, six counts of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm and Felony Firearm. The case was tried by Assistant Prosecutor Michael Reynolds.
Joshua Manners - Today Manners, 24, was convicted of First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felony Firearm. The defendant fatally shot three victims, Shawn Dunlap, 48, of Redford, Bryant Jones, 17, and Darrell Bulock, 40, both of Detroit in Dunlap's house in Redford on April 20, 2012. The sentencing date is March 11, 2013, before Judge Lawrence Talon. The case was tried by Assistant Prosecutor Steve Kaplan.
