St. Andre, et al - Romulus Police Corruption Case. This case has been reassigned to Judge Michael Hathaway. The pre-trial conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

St. Andre, et al - Romulus Police Corruption Case. Today Judge Michael Hathaway scheduled Defendants' motions to quash and motions to sever as follows:

  • July 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.-Jeremy Channells and Larry Droege - Motion to Quash hearings.
  • July 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.-Michael and Sandra St. Andre, Richard Balzer, Donald Hopkins, and Richard Landry - Motion to Quash hearings.
  • August 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. - All Defendants' motions to sever.

Once the above-referenced motions have been heard and decided, additional motion hearing dates will for other outstanding motions, as well as trial dates.

Joseph Weekley - Detroit Police Officer charged with Involuntary Murder and Careless Discharge of a Firearm Resulting in Injury or Death in connection with the death of seven-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones. After eight days of trial and three days of deliberation, the jury was unable to reach a verdict. Judge Cynthia Hathaway declared a hung jury and has set a new pre-trial date of July 25, 2013. "The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is prepared to proceed with the case," said Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy.

Sara Ylen - Defendant charged with False Report of a Felony and Tampering with Evidence in connection with a September 2012 sexual assault that she alleged happened in her Lexington Michigan home. Today Ylen was bound over as charged in 72nd District Court and her $10,000 bond was continued. The date for the arraignment on the information has not been determined at this time.

Myron Tyrone Williams - Charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Delivery of Marijuana in Grosse Pointe Park. Today Williams was arraigned and a calendar conference date of June 26, 2013, was set by Judge David Groner today. The defendant remains incarcerated on a bond $250,000 cash/surety bond.

Charles Jones and Chauncey Owens - Charged with First Degree Murder in connection with the death of high school student Je'rean Blake, The pre-trial conference will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. before Judge Skutt and not on Monday, June 24, 2013.

Allison Howard - (DOB: 6/6/69) - Charged with Perjury and Obstruction of Justice in connection with the investigation into the fatal shooting death of Aiyana Stanley-Jones. Howard obstructed justice by lying to prosecutors about copying, showing or giving video footage that she shot of the raid, to third parties causing a significant delay in the investigation of the case. Today Howard pleaded no contest to Obstruction of Justice, and the Perjury Count was dismissed. Howard has a sentence agreement of 18 to 24 months probation, which will be conducted by the State of Massachusetts. There is a fine of $2000 and up to 200 hours of community service.

Howard's no contest plea was granted by Judge Cynthia Hathaway based on the possibility of civil liability. The facts placed on the record for the plea are as follows: An investigative subpoena was conducted on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the office of the Wayne County Prosecutor at Frank Murphy in the City of Detroit. The court said that it reviewed the transcripts of the Grand Jury, and was satisfied that testimony of Sgt. Tawana Powell established the offense of Obstruction of Justice based on the work done by the Michigan State Police.

She will be sentenced on July 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.
