Eleven-year-old Detroit Juvenile Respondent - Charged as a juvenile with Manslaughter and Felony Firearm in connection with the fatal shooting of a three-year-old boy. Today defense counsel requested a competency and criminal responsibility referral from the court. Judge Szymanski reiterated that the condition of bond was that the Respondent not be in a home with any guns. The next court date is September 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

Antoine Orr, Chico Bruce and Jordan Reese - Defendants charged in the July 16, 2015 alleged sexual assault of a 21-year-old female. They are also alleged to have kidnapped, robbed and assaulted, while armed with a hand gun, the woman and her 22-year-old boyfriend in the 10300 block of West McNichols in Detroit. Today the case was dismissed without prejudice by Judge Kenneth King when the complainants failed to appear in court this morning. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is conducting further investigation so that the case can be re-issued.

Redford Man Charged in Escape Case

Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy has charged Juston Lakeef Baldwin, 22 (DOB: 9/13/92), of Redford, in connection with escaping from court officers after being bound over for trial. On August 11, 2015, at 2:25 p.m., the defendant was bound over for trial on charges of Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm before Judge Karen Khalil in 17th District Court in Redford. It is alleged that Baldwin was being escorted out of the courthouse by court officers to be placed in the Redford Township jail when he fled on foot across Five Mile Road near a CVS Drugstore. The Redford Police were dispatched to the area and Baldwin was apprehended in the rear yard of a home in the 15300 block of Lons in Redford.

The defendant has been charged with Escape - Awaiting Trial on a Felony which carries a maximum penalty of 4 years in prison. Baldwin may be arraigned in the afternoon today in 17th District Court. Please confirm the arraignment time with the Court.

William Melendez - Former Inkster police officer alleged to have physically assaulted civilian Floyd Dent. The Final Conference in the case has been changed by Judge Vonda Evans from August 21 until August 28, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. The trial date is scheduled for October 5, 2015.

Onika Fields - Woman charged with Second Degree Murder and Driving While License Suspended Causing Death. Fields was arraigned today in the fatal car crash in the City of Wayne. Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy said, "The alleged defendant's conduct in this case was dangerous to everyone who was on Wayne County roads on August 12th at 2:00 p.m. Cars can be a murder weapon just like a gun or a knife."
