Dearborn Daycare Shooting - Defendants Timothy and Samantha Eubanks charged in the non-fatal shootings of two young children while in the unlicensed daycare operated in the couple's home on Harding Street in Dearborn. Today Mr. Eubanks pled guilty as charged to six counts of Child Abuse 2nd Degree. He will be sentenced on July 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Cynthia Hathaway. Mrs. Eubanks case is scheduled for trial on July 16, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Hathaway.
Two Charged in Human Trafficking and Prostitution of Ohio Woman
On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Lorenzo Darrell Hatcher, 25 (DOB: 06/07/1993) of Hamtramck, MI and Lamyia Ieshia-Pamela Sneed, 21, (DOB: 04/24/1997) of St. Clair Shores, MI in connection with the human trafficking and prostitution of a 20-year-old out-of-state female.
From March 28, 2018 through June 3, 2018, Hatcher is alleged to have engaged in kidnapping, assaulting and human trafficking of a 20-year-old Columbus, Ohio woman in the 1100 block of Stockwell in Detroit. Sneed is alleged that have committed the crime of prostitution by transporting, facilitating and accepting earnings in connection with the victim. The facts and evidence in the case will be presented in court at the preliminary examination.
Hatcher has been charged with Human Trafficking Enterprise Involving Kidnapping, CSC or Death, Human Trafficking - Forced Labor/Threat of Physical Harm Causing Injury, Human Trafficking - Procure Person for Force Labor Resulting in Injury, Human Trafficking Enterprise, Prostitution - Sell/Offer/Facilitate, Prostitution - Accepting Earnings, Prostitution - Transporting Female, Kidnapping, Felonious Assault and Felony Firearm*.
Sneed has been charged with Prostitution - Sell/Offer/Facilitate, Prostitution - Accepting Earnings, Prostitution - Transporting Female*.
Both defendants were arraigned in 36th District Court before Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek late last Thursday, June 7, 2018. Because aspects of the case were under review last week the information is being released today.
The probable cause conferences are scheduled for June 20, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examinations are scheduled for June 29, 2018. Both hearings are before Judge Lydia Nance Adams in 36th District Court. Defendant Hatcher received a $500,000 cash/surety bond. Defendant Sneed received a $250,000 cash/surety bond.

Rolaunda Paul - Defendant charged in the April 10, 2018 assault of her two-year-old child on the sidewalk in front of her apartment building on Delaware Street in Detroit. She was sentenced today to Child Abuse Second Degree with a sentence of five years probation.

Dawone Cook - Detroit defendant who accidentally shot his friend in the head with a rifle while filming an Instagram Live Video. Today Cook pled guilty as charged today to Careless Discharge Causing Death. The sentence hearing will be held before Judge Thomas Hathaway on July 18, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Kurt Eschmann - Former Wayne County Department of Technology Telecommunications manager charged with embezzlement of electronic devices valued at over $90,000. Today a final conference date was scheduled for August 1, 2018 and a trial date was scheduled for August 29, 2018, both at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Wanda Evans.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Christopher Willoughby, 44 (DOB: 05/27/1974) of Allen Park, in connection with firing a handgun at a police officer and other crimes. On June 11, 2018 at approximately 8: 40 p.m., at Sumpter Road near Willow Road in Belleville, the defendant was observed with a flushed face and bloodshot eyes, driving his car erratically. When a Sumpter Township officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the defendant fled in his car as the officer pursued him in a marked police car. A second officer, in another marked police car, also pursued the defendant. It is alleged that the defendant took out a handgun and fired approximately five times at the first officer. The defendant drove away from the scene for approximately three miles, when his car collided with the second police car, ending the pursuit. The officer in the second car was able to place the defendant under arrest. In addition, it is alleged that Willoughby was driving while intoxicated with a loaded firearm in his car.
Willoughby has been charged with: Count One: Assault with Intent to Murder; Count Two: Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder; Count Three: Flee and Elude 3rd Degree; Count Four: CCW; Count Five: CCW; Count Six: CCW; Count Seven: OWI 3rd; Count Eight: Felonious Assault; Count Nine: Felonious Assault; Count Ten: Felony Firearm; Count Eleven: Possession of Loaded Firearm in Vehicle; Count Twelve: Possession of Loaded Firearm in Vehicle; and Count Thirteen: Possession of Weapon under the Influence.*
Willoughby was arraigned this afternoon in 34th District Court. The probable cause conference is scheduled for June 27, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. before Judge Lisa Martin. The preliminary examination is scheduled for July 5, 2018 at 9:05 a.m. before Judge Brian Oakley. Both hearings are in 34th District Court. The defendant received a $1 million cash/surety bond.
