Two Men Charged in Carjacking and Non-Fatal Shooting at Detroit Gas Station

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Tywon Ivey, 19 (DOB: 02/19/2000), of Detroit, and Austin Blake Williams, 17 (DOB: 07/01/2002) of Hazel Park, in connection with the carjacking and non-fatal shooting of a 50-year-old Detroit man at a gas station in Detroit.

On October 25, 2019, at approximately 1:34 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a gas station in the 11300 block of Dexter Avenue in response to a carjacking and shooting. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Medics arrived that transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

It is alleged that as the victim exited the gas station, he was approached by the two defendants. It is alleged that Defendant Ivey pulled a weapon and demanded the car keys. The victim complied and backed away from the defendants. It is further alleged that Defendant Ivey fired the weapon and struck the victim in the face before driving away in his vehicle.

Defendant Williams has been charged with Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Unlawful Driving Away of a Vehicle and Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property - Motor Vehicle.* He was arraigned on November 4, 2019 before 36th District Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for November 11, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for November 18, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant in 36th District Court.

Defendant Williams received a $125,000 cash/surety bond. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.Defendant Ivey has been charged with Carjacking, Assault with Intent to Murder, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property - Motor Vehicle and three counts of Felony Firearm.* He is scheduled to be arraigned at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon in 36th District Court. Van Buren Township Man Charged Homicide of His Wife

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Terrance Oneal, 63 (DOB:04/21/1956), in connection with the homicide of his wife, Belinda Oneal, 62. The Oneals were both of Van Buren Township, Michigan. On November 5, 2019 at approximately 1:00 a.m. it is alleged that Mr. Oneal had a verbal argument with his wife and fatally shot her in their home located in the 7000 block of Fay Drive. Shortly thereafter he left the home in his car. At 1:30 a.m. the Van Buren Township Police investigated the scene and discovered the lifeless body of Mrs. Oneal on the second floor of the home. She died from a single gunshot wound.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on the same day the defendant was pulled over by police officers on I-94 in Berrien County and placed under arrest. Van Buren Township police were dispatched to the Berrien County jail and transported the defendant back to Van Buren Township.

The defendant has been charged with: Second Degree Murder and Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be video arraigned on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in 34th District Court in Romulus after 11:00 a.m.

Royal Oak Man Charged in Fatal Shooting at Detroit Club

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Brian Allen Montgomery, 24 (DOB:02/19/1995), of Royal Oak, in connection with the fatal shooting of Deangelo Haggen, 29, of Detroit. On November 1, 2019, at 2:18 a.m. at a club in the 14420 block of Plymouth in Detroit it is alleged that two groups of men were arguing on the street. Haggen did not engage anyone and did not point the handgun at anyone as he walked away from the men that were arguing. It's alleged that Montgomery fired a handgun several times fatally striking Haggen. Montgomery fled from the scene in a car. Police and medics arrived, and Haggen was pronounced deceased. It was determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Montgomery has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be arraigned in 34th District Court after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, in Romulus. Please request a photograph of the defendant from DPD after the arraignment.
