Richard Wershe, Jr. - The Michigan Court of Appeals reversed the September 4, 2015 order of Wayne County Circuit Judge Dana Hathaway granting Defendant Wershe's motion for relief from judgment and ordering resentencing. The court reasoned that the trial court failed to cite or address the required legal standards when the motion for relief from judgment was granted.

"The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has prevailed in the Michigan Court of Appeals and the defendant's original sentence remains in effect," said Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Maria Miller.
