St. Clair Shores Man Charged in Downtown Coney Island Non-Fatal Stabbing

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged David Michael Golze, 21 (DOB: 11/12/1997) of St. Clair Shores, Michigan in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of a 31-year-old security guard in front of a coney island restaurant.

On September 7, 2019 at approximately 1:00 a.m., the victim was a 31-year-old Royal Oak man working in the capacity as a security guard in the 100 block of West Lafayette in downtown Detroit. An argument between the group and the guards escalated into a fight in front of the restaurant. It is alleged that Golze stabbed the victim. When the victim discovered he was bleeding, he flagged down Detroit police officers who transported him to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Golze has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, two counts of Felonious Assault, and Assault and Battery.*

Golze was arraigned on September 9, 2019 before 36th District Court Magistrate Dawn White. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 16, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $150,000 cash/surety bond. A photograph of the defendant is attached.

Woman Charged in Three Arsons of Uninhabited Dwellings

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Keiashia Alexis Love, 23 (DOB: 01/16/1996), in connection with the arson of three separate uninhabited dwellings in Detroit. Her city of residence is unknown.

13900 Block of Eastwood Street

On June 24, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 13900 block of Eastwood Street and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. Investigation by the DFD determined the fire was caused by arson. I t is alleged the defendant intentionally started the fire.

14200 Block of Saratoga Avenue

On August 4, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 14200 block of Saratoga Avenue and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. It is alleged the defendant intentionally started the fire.

14400 Block of Linnhurst Street

On August 19, 2019, the Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to an address in the 14400 block of Linnhurst Street and extinguished a fire of an unoccupied single family dwelling. It is alleged the defendant intentionally started the fire.

Investigation by the Detroit Arson Task Force led to the arrest of the defendant.

Love has been charged with three counts of Third Degree Arson and one count of Arson - Preparation to Burn Real Property.* She was arraigned this afternoon before 36th District Court Magistrate Millicent Sherman. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 19, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 24, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $15,000/10% bond. Please request a photograph from the Detroit Police Department.

Dearborn Homicide/Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery and Assault Cases - The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has received a warrant request that is being reviewed for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery the occurred at Moross and Steadman Streets, a robbery and homicide of a female victim that occurred Bingham Street, and an assault of a male victim on Bingham Street, all in Dearborn. A press release will issue when charging decisions have been made. A charging decision will not be finalized today.

Three Teens Charged in Dearborn Homicide and Armed Robbery Cases

Prosecutor Worthy has charged adult Jamel Marquise Philson, 17 (DOB: 08/27/2002), of Highland Park, 14 year-old juvenile Demaurio Dismuke, of Detroit, who will be waived and tried as an adult, and a 13-year-old juvenile male who will be adult designated, in connection with a homicide/armed robbery, an armed robbery and an assault that occurred in Dearborn on the evening of September 6, 2019. For the 13-year-old, if convicted, the adult designation allows the judge to sentence the defendant as a juvenile, or an adult, or to fashion a blended juvenile and adult sentence.

Armed Robbery in the 7000 Block of Steadman Street

Dearborn police officers responded to a report of and armed robbery of a 49-year-old woman at in the 7000 block of Steadman Street at 9:35 p.m. It is alleged that she was robbed of her personal property by the defendants. It is further alleged that the 13-year-old was armed with a handgun. The defendants fled the scene on foot and the victim immediately called the police.

Philson (17) is charged with Armed Robbery.*

Dismuke (14) is waived and will be tried as an adult and charged with Armed Robbery.*

The 13-year-old is adult designated and charged with Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm.*

Homicide/Armed Robbery in the 7840 Block of Bingham Street

Shortly after the first female victim was robbed officers were dispatched 9:52 p.m. to the shooting of a Saja Khalid Al-Janabi, 29, of Dearborn, who was observed to be near her car on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. Dearborn officers began life saving measures and were relieved by medics who transported the victim to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. It is alleged that the Dismuke robbed and fatally shot Ms. Al-Janabi, while aided and abetted by Philson.

Philson (17) is charged with Felony Murder with the underlying crime of Larceny of a Person and Armed Robbery.*

Dismuke (14) is waived and will be tried as an adult and charged with Felony Murder with the underlying crime of Larceny of a Person, Armed Robbery and two counts of Felony Firearm.*

The 13-year-old is adult designated and is charged with Felony Murder with the underlying crime of Larceny of a Person and Armed Robbery.*

Assault in the 7800 Block of Bingham Street

Investigation by the Dearborn Police identified 56-year-old Dearborn male victim. It is alleged shortly after the homicide of Ms. Al-Janabi that Defendant Dismuke fired a shot as he and Philson were fleeing from scene of the fatal shooting.

Dismuke (14) is waived and will be tried as an adult and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Felony Firearm.*

Prosecutor Worthy said: "The alleged facts in this case encompass an extremely callous crime spree in Dearborn. A trail of destruction was left that included randomly selected armed robberies, a homicide, and an assaultive crime - just because these defendants wanted to do them."

Arraignment Information

Defendant Philson was arraigned this afternoon in 19th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 20, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The defendant was remanded to jail.

Defendant Dismuke was arraigned this afternoon in 19th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 20, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The defendant was remanded to the Juvenile Detention Facility. He is represented by attorney Tilmandra Wilkerson.

The 13-year-old was arraigned today at 1:30 p.m. in the Juvenile Detention Facility before Magistrate Leslie Graves. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 24, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. before Judge Edward Joseph at the Lincoln Hall of Justice. The Juvenile Respondent was remanded to the Juvenile Detention Facility.
