Detroit Man Charged in Dearborn Road Rage Incident

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Luis Angel Berrios-Rosario, 38, (DOB: 05/18/1982) of Detroit, in connection with a road rage incident that occurred in Dearborn, Michigan.

On October 18, 2020 at approximately 5:41 p.m., Dearborn police officers responded to the area of Warren Avenue and Chase Street in Dearborn for a report of shots fired. The officers located the victim of the incident. It is alleged that while traveling in his vehicle westbound on Warren Avenue toward Greenfield Avenue, the victim noticed a vehicle driving erratically. It is further alleged that as the victim drove alongside the defendant's vehicle, the defendant pulled a weapon and fired it at the victim, striking his vehicle. Investigation by the Dearborn Police led to the apprehension of the defendant. Further facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court during the Preliminary Examination.

Berrios-Rosario has been charged with Assault With Intent to Murder, Assault With Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, Discharged of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Felonious Assault and four counts of Felony Firearm.* He was arraigned today in 19th District Court. The Probable Conference is scheduled for October 30, 2020. The defendant received a $100,000 cash bond. Please contact the Dearborn Police Department for a photograph of the defendant.
