Detroit Man Charged in June 2020 Homicide of 19-Year-Old Man
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jahim Weatherby, 18 (DOB: 08/11/2002), of Detroit, in connection with the homicide of Darius Jones, 19, of Detroit.
On June 26, 2020, at approximately 3:30 a.m., it is alleged that the defendant participated in the robbery and fatal shooting of Mr. Jones.
Defendant Weatherby has been charged with Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Armed Robbery.* He was arraigned today in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for November 24, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Kenneth King in 36th District Court. The defendant was remanded to jail. *The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
