Detroit Man Charged in Romulus Sexual Assault of Senior Woman
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Christopher Darnell Moore, 39 (DOB: 10/20/1979) of Detroit, in connection with a sexual assault of a 67-year-old woman in the City of Romulus. On June 30, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at an apartment building located in the 11000 block of Wayne Road in Romulus, it is alleged that Moore came to the victim's door and represented that he was working for a company that assisted senior citizens. Once he was inside the apartment, it is alleged that Moore sexually assaulted the victim. Investigation by the Romulus Police resulted in the arrest of the defendant.
Moore has been charged with CSC Third Degree, which carries a 15 year maximum penalty.* He was arraigned this afternoon before 34th District Court Magistrate Lisa Martin. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 24, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. before Magistrate Martin; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 31, 2019 at 9:05 a.m. before Judge David Parrott.
