Two Detroit Men Charged in Multiple Kidnappings, Robberies and Sexual Assaults

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Aaron Rashard Stewart, 22, (DOB: 08/21/1995) and Quentin Davon Flemons, 19 (DOB: 05/04/1998), both from Detroit, with multiple charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct, Kidnapping and other crimes in multiple jurisdictions.

Hamtramck Charges

On October 8, 2017 at approximately 6:03 p.m., it is alleged that Defendants Aaron Rashard Stewart and Quentin Davon Flemons kidnapped a 27-year-old Hamtramck woman who was riding her bicycle in the area of Denton and St. Aubin Streets and forced her into a vehicle. It is further alleged that the victim was taken to an abandoned property in the 1600 block of Leslie where she was assaulted and robbed before she was able to escape.

Stewart has been charged with Kidnapping, Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property-Motor Vehicle, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property-Firearm, Felony Firearm, Unarmed Robbery, and Stealing/Retaining a Financial Transaction Device*.Flemons has been charged with Kidnapping, Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property - Motor Vehicle, Unarmed Robbery, and Stealing/Retaining a Financial Transaction Device*.

Stewart and Flemons were arraigned on the warrant by video today in 31st District Court in Hamtramck. The probable cause conference is scheduled for November 2, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Alexis Krot in 31st District Court. No preliminary examination has been scheduled at this time. Both defendants received a $5M cash/surety bond.

Highland Park Charges

On July 18, 2016 at approximately 3:00 a.m., it is alleged that Defendant Aaron Rashard Stewart pulled a 31-year-old female Highland Park victim off her bicycle in the area of Second Avenue and West McNichols, forced her into an alley where she was sexually assaulted and robbed.

Stewart has been charged with Kidnapping, three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree, Unarmed Robbery, and Stealing/Retaining a Financial Transaction Device*.

Flemons has been charged with Kidnapping, two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree, Unarmed Robbery, and Stealing/Retaining a Financial Transaction Device*.

Stewart and Flemons were arraigned on the warrant by video this afternoon in 30th District Court before Judge Briget Officer Hill in Highland Park. The probable cause conference is scheduled for November 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Officer-Hill. No preliminary exam has been scheduled at this time. Both Defendants were remanded to jail.

Detroit Charges

On September 30, 2017 at approximately 6:21 p.m., it is alleged that Defendants Stewart and Flemons kidnapped a 24-year-old Detroit female victim, who was riding her bicycle on East Milwaukee near Orleans in Detroit. It is further alleged that the victim was forced into a vehicle, robbed and sexually assaulted before she was released by the defendants.

Both defendants have been charged with three counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, kidnapping, Unarmed Robbery and Financial Transaction Device - Stealing/Retaining Without Consent. Defendant Steward has also been charged with Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property - Motor Vehicle*.

Defendant Stewart was arraigned on the warrant on October 13, 2017 before 36th District Court Magistrate Dawn White. His probable cause conference is scheduled for October 23, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for October 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge William McConico in 36th District Court. He received a $1M cash/surety bond.

Defendant Flemons was arraigned on the warrant on October 23, 2017 before 36th District Court Magistrate Laura Echartea. His probable cause conference is scheduled for October 30, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for November 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Deborah Lewis Langston in 36th District Court. He received a $500,000 cash/surety bond.
