Two Detroiters Charged in Fatal Shooting at Stahelin Avenue
and Trojan Street

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Terrance Lamont Pringle, Jr., 18 (DOB: 08/08/2002) and Christian Malik Johnson, 19 (DOB: 11/18/2000), both of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Terrence Minous and the non-fatal shooting of a second Detroit man.

On June 26, 2020 at approximately 12:13 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a local hospital with reports that two men had been shot. Upon arrival, the officers were advised that Minous had succumbed to his injuries. The second victim received treatment for his injuries.

It is alleged that the defendants were riding in a vehicle in the area of Stahelin Avenue and Trojan Street when they pulled out weapons and fired into a gathering there, striking both victims.

Both defendants have each been charged with First Degree Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder and two counts of Felony Firearm.*

Pringle was arraigned on September 25, 2020 before 36th District Court Magistrate Millicent Sherman. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 9, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.; his Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 16, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Roberta Archer in 36th District Court. Defendant Pringle was remanded to jail.

Johnson was arraigned on September 28, 2020 before 36th District Court Magistrate Laura Echartea. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 8, 2020 before Judge Roberta Archer in 36th District Court. His Preliminary Examination has not been scheduled at this time. Defendant Johnson was remanded to jail. Please contact the Detroit Police Department for photographs of the defendants.
