Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Maurice Ali Crisp, 40, (DOB: 09/12/1980) and Amy Renee Morgan, 40, (DOB: 01/21/1981), both of Redford, in connection with the fatal shooting of Hector Villarreal, and the non-fatal shooting of Michael Acuff, also of Redford.

On May 13, 2021 at approximately 2:31 a.m. Redford Township police officers were dispatched to residence in the 24600 block of Joy Road in Redford for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located both victims outside of the residence with apparent gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on scene and transported both victims to a local hospital for treatment. Mr. Villarreal succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased. It is alleged that the defendants shot the victims over a previous dispute before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Redford Township Police Department led to the arrest of the defendants on May 14, 2021.

Maurice Ali Crisp has been charged with one count of First-Degree Murder, one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Felon in Possession, and three counts of Felony Firearm. * Amy Renee Morgan has been charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact to a Felony. * They were arraigned and remanded to jail yesterday at 3:00 p.m. in 17th District Court. Defendant Morgan was given a $750,000 bond. Their Probable Cause Conference is on May 25, 2021 in 17th District Court.
