Roseville Juvenile Charged in Campus Martius Non-Fatal Stabbing of Detroit Teen
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged a 16-year-old girl of Roseville, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy of Detroit. She is being charged as a juvenile respondent.
On May 10, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to Campus Martius in the 1000 block of Woodward Avenue for a reported stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
It is alleged that a verbal altercation between the juvenile and the victim escalated, and the juvenile produced a pocketknife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the stomach. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the juvenile a short time later.
The juvenile respondent has been charged with Felonious Assault.*
Referee Leslie Graves held the preliminary hearing at Juvenile Detention Facility in the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center and set a bond of $7500/10%, no possession of knives or weapons, and ordered no contact with the victim. The petition was transferred to Macomb County. All future hearings will be held in Macomb County because she is a Roseville resident.
*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
