Southfield Man Charged in DTW Sexual Assault
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Raymond Anthony Jackson, Jr., 32, (DOB: 05/09/1990), of Southfield, in connection with the sexual assault of a 34-year-old Westland, MI woman.
On May 17, 2022, at approximately 7:35 a.m., it is alleged that Jackson startled the victim after she parked her car in the Blue Deck Parking Garage at Detroit Metro Airport. It is further alleged that he came behind her, grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground. He slammed her head several times on the concrete floor before sexually assaulting her. The victim was able to scream and fight back with Jackson and he eventually fled form the area. An investigation by the Metro Detroit Airport Police assisted by the Romulus an Detroit Police with other agencies resulted in the identification and arrest of the defendant.
Raymond Anthony Jackson Jr. has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm, two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct Second Degree and two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree.
Defendant Jackson was arraigned this morning in 34th District Court before Magistrate Alan Hindman who ordered a $150,000 cash/surety bond, with a GPS tether and no contact with the victim.
