Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Noah Damron, 20 (DOB: 02/25/2000), of Taylor in connection with a fatal car crash that killed a 12-year-old girl and injured her 45-year old female guardian, both of Allen Park.

On February 3, 2021, at 12:09 a.m. Taylor police officers were dispatched to a car crash that occurred near the intersection of Telegraph and Northline Roads. It is alleged that in the early Damron was intoxicated and driving at high speed when he struck an SUV. Inside the SUV was a husband, his wife and a 12-year-old girl. The couple were the legal guardians of the child. Investigation at the scene by the police revealed that at the time of the crash the defendant possessed a firearm in his car.

Medics transported the child to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased from her injuries. Her female guardian sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The defendant was also taken to a local hospital where he received treatment.

Damron has been charged with: Reckless Driving Causing Death, Reckless Driving Causing a Serious Impairment, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and four counts of Felony Firearm. *
The defendant was recently released into police custody and was arraigned this afternoon and given a $2 million bond in 23rd District Court. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for February 12, 2021. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the police.
